Music box delete/undelete songs

Is there a way to force delete a song or album such that the music box does not "undelete" the tracks when you reinsert the CD? I want to permanently delete and then re-record the tracks, but when I try this the HDD simply undeletes the same tracks rather than recording a new set.

thanks

exact same problem

the original CD had some marks on it that caused the copy in the music box to have "noise".

so I delete this version in music box.

when I put in the cleaned up CD, the music box brings back to life the older "noisy" version.

very irritating!

yep. that's one of the scenarios I'm dealing with. The HDD should have a "delete permanently" feature....

Noticed this a well. Only way to do it was to DELETE ALL the entire Music Box. Major downside is you have to record all albums again.

That's not correct, the Delete ALL doesn't actually delete all, it only deletes all the music you had marked for deletion! in order to delete the entire music box, you need to mark all the music for deletion, then do a delete all.

I put in the Dave Mathews CD which has 20 blank 3 seconds tracks, I went and deleted all those tracks, I then hit the delete all and it only got rid of the 20 empty tracks.
