Can you add a sub to the SOW

I have an JL sub and MTX amp sitting in my garage from my last car. Is it possible to add an aftermarket sub/amp to SOW.

Thanks

Anything is possible... Does the amp have speaker level inputs? That would be the easiest. The SOW seems to have some decently clean amps so it will probably will sound fine. I'm considering doing the same thing with mine. Can't decide weather or not I want to give up the trunk space or not. What car doesn't come with fold down seats these days?? (Only gripe so far...)

i added a sub to my SOW recently. works great but one thing is you wont be able to acomplish a good clean signal to your amp if your still using your existing amp running all the speakers. i had this system ( amp/sub) on my coupe without the stock amp and it hits alot harder than what im running now.
i made a thread a while back and the only thing to fix this is either get a jl cleansweeper ( 300 bucks ) or remove the stock amp and replace it with another one.
it is possible but your sub will not hit as loud.

a solid rear frame behind the seats is becoming more and more common as a structural member of the chassis. it increases torsional rigidity which translates to better handling as well as crash protection for rear passengers. expect to see it more and more, over the fold-down option of yore.

Not to mention that non-folding rear seats are much more comfy that the flat boards that accommodate 60/40 folding seats.

Makes sense to make it more solid back there, but why does the seat it-self have to be incorporated into the chassis bracing? Doesn't make too much sense to me... I'm not saying I need the full width but you gain a whole lot of utility if the seats fold down. Eh, why am I complaining? I have a 4Runner to do all my hauling, just an observation. I will let everyone know if I decide to add a sub and how I do it, but at this point I think I'm just going to leave it alone.

why would you want the seats to fold down if there would still be a "firewall" there?? what's the point?
