Peak torque is virtually identical, but the curve is amazingly flat with more power down low and up high. According to Automobile's dyno charts, the G37 produces ~85% of its peak torque at redline...that is astonishing. For example, I have attached first ever dyno run. As you can see, I put down 242/211. When the pull started recording, I put down 199.49tq, and at redline, I put down 184tq.
So bone stock on my revup motor, I put down 94.3% of peak torque at ~3k rpms, and at redline, the engine was making 87% of peak torque.

car and driver "supposidly" tested the g37. i found it strange that i showed a .1 slower 0-60 time as the g35S, and the same exact 1/4 mile time.
It also shows the curb weight is around 200 lbs heavier so i guess that may not be to far off.

I regretted not purchasing a Coupe in 04 since it looked so much better than the sedan at the time, but this time I decided the Sedan looks better, plus I wanted to go back to a four door.
Although I think production coupes will be faster, I think it'll only be marginable. Plus I like the rarity of having a 6MT sedan.
Motortrend got 5.4/14.0 but still gave it the nod over the 335i:
