Rough Ride

Anyone elses ride (g35x) very bumpy and rough and most road types ? I can even feel a vibration in the pedals when driving.
I remember my '03 G wasnt the smoothest ride but this feels even worse.

Also, what kind of sound does your engine make ... is it smooth & consistent or more of a puttering ?

Don't have an X, but the ride is smooth and quiet...
Engine noise is ZERO until fairly high RPMs - and then it's a nice growl.
Definitely check tire pressure.

Ditto on the tire pressure. My G35 had the same rough ride problem. Tire pressure was 37psi on all tires. Dropped it to 33psi and most of the road noise went away, the ride smoothed out considerably, and some cabin noises disappeared as well.

All my tires are at 35.5. I know 33 is whats suggested but I didnt think that 2.5 psi was enough to make a big difference.

My G def. does not run quietly. The engine is actually pretty lound just sitting in park (from outside the car, not in the cabin)

Unhappy My X, Too!

It's funny that you mention this, because I've been noticing this with my X too. And I just took delivery of it, last week.

Even over perceivably smooth roads, I felt some unusual vibration in the steering-wheel and pedals. I'll be sure to check my tire pressure early in the morning to see if this will remedy the problem.

And at idle, with the windows down, I sometimes pick up a faint sporadic clicking noise.

I lowered my tire pressure to 32.5 all the way around and it definitely made a difference as far as the bumpiness of the ride goes. However the slight vibration in the pedals and wheel is still present.

Shure, what dealership did you get your Infiniti from ?
