Question Compliment or not?

Compliment or not?

A guy at my office just told me hey I love your new G. I said thanks but it is actually an 05. Another lady in our office owns the 07. I guess it was a compliment considering he thought my 2+ year old car was brand new(I keep it in showroom condition). Anyway kind of nice that the old G’s are still recognized as great looking cars! However, I would swap mine out for an 07 in a heart beat if I could get out of my lease.

Definitely a compliment. I get complimented on my 05 all the time.

I think I'd trade for an 07 if I didn't already own my 05. I don't want a car payment.

I still stare at the gen 1 design. It was ground breaking and still looks good.
For sure a compliment.

Last weekend, we had dinner with a friend of mine. We were chatting in the parking lot and my friend tells me "Damn that's a nice M. Definitely worth spending money on it". I had a grin on my face. He was actually looking at the front of my G.

Simple complement, when I get complements about my car they're usually shrouded in an insult like:

"WOW! It must be nice to drive dad's car"
-some random biatch in a used A4

LOL, the changes are very subtle anyway.....what was beautiful in '02 and other years is still so today despite the changes....
Kudos for keeping it that way.....

How would that not pass as a compliment? He said he loved your car. But yeah, when the 1st gen Gs came out, I loved the design. I just loooove the 2nd gen Gs so much more.

Well actually I forget to tell you that after I told him mine was an 05 he said, “Oh well then I guess it is not the one that I like”. It was sort of like he tried to take it back. However, he had already been fooled so it really didn’t matter.

Maybe he knew about your last one and thought you got rid of it for the new one (which was hers)...

I still like the original G (both the G20 and G35). They look good, and stay in style.

In that case.... it's a compliment but it was misaddressed....
