The reason I was gung-ho about needing to find the owner was exactly that - to see what performance mods (if any)... I only know of Eibach springs, Stillen dual CAI and exhaust... I only saw the car form a short distance... it was nice though!

I don't know what you mean by "2nd gens"... but they announced CAI for the dual intake (which is only 07) - this past weekend at their "Open House" - AKA "Stillen Day"... you can find info in the So Cal forum...

... the weird thing is... 07 has a very efficient CAI already... I really like the design actually - Nissan stuffed the intake under the radiator shroud directly behind the grille - high enough to negate dissipated road heat - but under the shroud in order to achieve better radiator cooling... this among many other design progression make the 07 very attractive - too bad it's a yr prior to the 3.7 release...

I like the car, but it's definitely a "tweener"... being in-between some big happenings....

I'm not affiliated with Nissan (of course) - but I predict:

continued 3.5 HR sedan as base model, G37sedan as performance package... G37ST (as in single turbo) coupe for 09.... and the same line for the Z - 350ZHR and 370Z...
just an inept attempt at understanding the unknown

Oh - BTW, back to the Stillen dual CAI... marketing probably...

Was it a lowered sport model? It might have been mine. I dropped my car off to fix/replace the thigh bolster on the driver's seat since the stitching was coming undone. Also replaced the leather on the left side of the same seat since it was full of creases already. My car's dropped with H&R's, dark tint all around and still sitting on the stock sport 18's.

Hold up! They will replace the leather if it is already full of creases? Mine is one week old and is already full of creases on the left side of the driver seat.

They replaced only the side bolster piece of leather, as far as I can tell, but they did a great job. The seat looks brand new. I took the car in for the thigh bolster upholstery coming undone, but I also told them that the side bolster was unusually creased for a vehicle with only 6,000 miles on it. They said they'd take a look at it and when I got the car back they told me they replaced it with new leather. Hopefully it'll last me another 6k if I'm lucky.

I think that was it... nice car! Do you have any performance mods?... That's why I was looking for the owner - to see if there was any perf mods. A few of us (G owners) are going to Irwindale Speedway this Thurs night - wanna join us?... I drove an 07 loaner for about a week... I've been trying to gauge the stock performance against my modded 04 - it's hard to tell - at first I thought they were close, now I'm thinking the 07 might have better acceleration... I've been wanting to see how an 07 will do at the track. We had a guy with an 07 a few weeks ago say he was going, he never showed (and never repsonded in posts after the event).
