scroll radio station with mileage trip displayed

Hi,

I noticed something wierd about this. I have the radio on a preset station and the status of distance to empty is also displayed. I cannot change the radio station unless I get rid of the status display. that is dumb because in order for me to change the radio station, I need to press the radio button or not display the status of distance to empty.

BUT I could change the radio station from the steering wheel controls.

Has anybody else noticed this?

Hmmm. I've got the nav package, so not sure - since I view distance to empty on the center display between the Tach & Speedo....
But what you're describing sounds very funky. Do you mean you can't change the station at all? Or just not see what station you're on.

I dont have the nav package. I cant change it with the display on distance to empty. I can change it if I take the display off from the console but I can change the radio stations from the steering wheel with the distance to empty display on.

Well, I just tried it in my premium-only (non-nav) G35S. With or without the "distance to empty" display, I could tune the radio via the right-hand rotary **** or the six pre-set buttons on the console. Of course the steering wheel control worked also.

Go figure.....

I typically have the DTE displayed on my screen most of the time and I am able to change the radio stations just fine via presets, dial, or steering wheel controls.

I don't have navi, just the premium. I tested it yesterday...with the DTE status screen up, I can change radio stations (tried AM and SAT) using steering wheel controls, rotary ****, up/down tuning buttons, and preset buttons.

ok, it is the intelli controller that doesnt do the station changing. The dial doesnt turn or the arrow keys dont work when the DTE is displayed. I talked to the guy at infiniti where I got my car and he said, it is so you dont look at the screen to change stations. I dont know if this is true though.
