Tire rotation???

When should you rotate the tires? How many miles? Also, when should you get new tires? Any suggestions on brand names? Also, do you switch the front to back opposite (diagonally)?

Try looking in the Owner's manual.. I think it should all be there. For performance tires I would say Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 or Bridgestone Potenza's.

It depends on which version G35 you buy. The Sport version does not require tire rotation. The G35x and Journey verisons do.

Is it that it isn't required, or that you just can't rotate them since the tires are different size front to back?

I believe I read in the manual and it says it's not required for S (is it because the front is 17in and back is 18in?). Mine is 35x and it says I need to swap front to back and back to front (not side by side) every 7500miles.

The fronts are 225, the rears are 245, therefore rotaion is not required (not possible). The wheels are also keyed to prevent this.

Both are 18s in the Sport -- however the rear tires are wider than the front tires -- that's why you can't rotate front to back.

As others have said, front tires are 225, back tires are 245.

On top of that, at least with the sport, the tires are asymetrical. So you couldn't even rotate laterally (if you wanted to).

Yes you can. It's directional tires that you can't rotate from side to side.

You also asked about wear. There is an indicator built into every tire called a "wear bar/stripe." When this is flush with the surface of the tire, it's time to "re-tire."

Got it. I thought you couldn't rotate side to side.

Didn't know about the wear bar either, nice tip.
