Ok, my bad for misreading the post. That what happens when you are tired.

I am connecting like this. Inside my arm rest are two audio plugs and a video plug. I am using the traditional RCA white and red cables into those plugs. I then plug into my iPod Nano's audio output, which is the same port I use for head phones.

That might clarify why we are experiencing different things. My G does not have the tech package (no Nav, no HD), so I am not connecting that way. Like I said, I am using a audio cable that splits into two RCA cables (white and red) for audio.

I hope this clarifies the issue. Sorry for the confusion.

OK, I've hooked up my iPod using the docking port instead of the headphone jack, and ... what a difference!! The sound is as strong and punchy as if I was listening to the iPod directly. There's no noticeable signal loss at all.

All the audio sources in my G are now officially rocking! I'm one happy guy. Now, my commute just seems so short

PROB with AUX mode

Ok, i actually have the same problem as the 1st guy, but i dont have a IPOD setup, i am using my SIRIUS SPORTSTER unit thru the RCAS, since we got stuck with XM only with teh Navi package. THere is a HUGE difference in sound from the AUX, and i do have the output sound on the unit all the way up, and even have to drive with the volume at the maximum level inorder to hear it good. WHen i listen to the cd/ or even CF card, i only have to go to maximum if i want it really loud and have all the windows open. DOes anyone else have a clue on if theres a setting change or something that fixes this problem. I am using a Y cable, going from stereo output from the unit to 2 male rcas that i plug into the glove box. I used to have a MDX and i used to use the oldfashion stereo to tape deck, and the sound was great. Please HELLPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP.

I have the same setup as you, only a different iPod. I set the ipod volume to about 90% and it is soooo much louder the either the radio or CD player. I prefer to listen to my music this way as I can really get the mirrors a'rockin'. I used a retractable cable to connect my iPod to the RCA jacks that I got at the local Apple store.
