How fast do those paddle shifts react? Are they anything near the 03s'-06s' slow-reacting, not really in control trip-tronic shifting? Or are they pretty instant from gear to gear?

great times. my times on my 6mt w/ minor mods were a best 14.002@100.46mph
84 degrees/41 humidity/30.05 pressure/528 elevation/2298 density altitude
yes controlling the shift points by using the paddles helped me acheive better times IMO.
