Has anyone tried the touch-up paint for an LP G35S? I got a rock chip on the front bumper, and the black of the bumper is showing. Wondering how much touch-up paint costs?

I haven't used it yet, but I did buy the LP touch up paint (always like to have it handy just in case). It was like 11-12 bucks from the dealer, which is a total ripoff, but until the aftermarket suppliers produce it, that's all we have.

It does come with a "pen" for touchup in addition to a brush, which is great for the little chips.

 

i brought mine at the nissan dealership for approx. 11. the key is to apply it multiple times.

 

Did it come with Clear Coat? If not you should get that also.

 

I picked up GE touch up paint for mine last week and it cost me $13 CDN.

nope, the nissan touch-up paint does not come with clear coat. apparently, some colors come with clear coat, but the silver does not.

dealer (infiniti and nissan) said just to apply it multiple times (letting each application dry before the next application).

 

I got the touch up pen with my car, and I used it on a pretty bad rock chip on the rear left door. I guess it looks ok and my main concern was avoiding rust, but now I think I'm going to get it fixed properly anyways. It's a good color match, but it isn't really a smooth patch due to my lack of skill.

 

I got the pen as well Christian.......the one with paint on end and clearcoat on the other. I got it so I could paint my bumper plugs and it worked ok.........but it's rather difficult to get a nice smooth finish like you mentioned.
