EZPass placement

Anyone in a state with it, or any of those electronic toll tags, where do you place your tag?

I have mine on the windshield, on the passenger side, behind the mirror so I can't see it.

Same here. Just to the right of the rearview mirror, if you're looking from driver's seating position.

It's hidden from view, and I also have it high enough so that it's behind the upper windshield tint strip. Barely notice it from the outside.

I had reservations in case I ever wanted to take it off, because it looks like I'd have to give it a good pull, but so far it's been good.

I dread going through the tolls though, because if it ever stops working and I have to hand it over for them to bang it around on the box, it's gonna suck trying to get it off with the mirror on the way

well seeing as tho they have suction cups on them i think the best place to put it is on the windshield......preferably near the rear view mirror so it is not in the way of ur vision....

I have mine right underneath the mirror. I dont use mine all the time so I bought one of the suction cup holders for it so it can go easily on and off when I need it.

I asked because I got sick of behind the mirror. I can see mine while Im driving, no matter how hard I try to hide it. I also got sick of being able to see it from the outside, so I found a nice dicrete spot for it that it is still readable from. Trying to find a pic of it to show you guys...

my spot is directly behind my inspection sticker in the lower left corner of the windshield. The NJ inspection sticker is roughly the same size as the tag and the holder, so all you see are the two suction cups on the sides of the sticker. It looks so much better this way. I think you should try it.

And yes, the tag reads consistently from here. I've gone through tolls at 5MPH and through the express lanes at 55-60. and it reads without fail.

thought i'd share something aesthetically pleasing with everyone

Do you have the plastic box or the small sticky credit card like system?

If you have the small sticker card you could stick it in the Sunroof. My wife RDX has it there and it works fine.

not to take this off topic but i will say that i was definitely not 'pleased' to stick a giant plastic box on my windshield. It also occurred to me that the technology exists to make these much smaller (ie, the credit card sticky mentioned above) why is the eastern seaboard stuck with these bricks to stick to their windshield?!?

Agreed, thats why I bought the removable holder.

But it is pretty cool to be able to zoom through the Express lanes at 65mph. I dont know if they have to be bigger for that reason or not but if they do then its worth it.

Down here in PR the express lanes are 55 MPH. So it is safe to say that the speed is not a problem with sticky card system. The only advantage I can think that the plastic box is portable and can be used in different cars. For example two weeks ago i visited my sister in Illinois. I rented a minivan. We took her ez pass and used it, no problems.

i think i've had my tag for almost 6 or 7 years now. AFIAK they haven't changed it in NJ and only offer the tag, no little plastic card
