I have the wood trim on wheat interior and think it looks great, but I am not thrilled with the smooth plastic on the flat portion of the door trim around the window switches. I would love to be able to get a kit to replace just these four areas (one on each door) with wood to match the oem already on the car.

Does anyone know if such a kit exists?

I too liked the rosewood, but now that I've had the graphite/washi combo, I'm glad I got it, much more sporty looking than the wood, I suppose that's why the wood isn't available on the Sport. I don't think the washi looks as good on the wheat though.

I purchased the wood because I think it makes the car look more like it belongs in the BMW/Mercedes class of car and having a satin finish makes it more unique. The aluminum looks to much like plastic fake aluminum, in fact I had to really look closely to be sure it wasn't plastic. If they had offered carbon fiber I might have considered it.

I think the Washi looks great, I was leaning toward the wood, but glad I didn't get it! I don't see how you could think it looks plastic. Now, the original G35 with the "titanium" door handles and console, now that looked plastic!

I have the wood option, I love it. Washi or wood, its still a G35, you cant go wrong either way

I was at the Infiniti of Manhasset dealer last weekend, and they had a blue slate G35xS on the showroom floor. The wood trim wasnt rosewood though, it was this dark black/blue. It looked very nice and blended in perfectly with the black interior. I've looked everywhere for this trim but could not find it. Any ideas?

From what I understand, there are some dealerships out there who do their own wood trim overlays...give them a call and see if it were the overlays, if it was not...I might be interested also lol

So I called and they said it was a "burlwood" trim (factory) they installed. Has anyone installed this or have any pics? None of the pics I googled look anything like the blue/black wood I saw on that car...
