Anyway to use stabdard GPS coordinates as the destination in the Nav system? Possible this is easy and I am missing it, but could not find the option int he Nav. system.

I do not believe there is an option for that.

Were you thinking of using it for some geocaching?

Would be pretty to hard to use it for that as you can rarely drive up to the cache.

Very true... I'm up at my cabin going to look for a geocache this weekend. This one is up by this fire lookout.

I don't think the X's traction is that good. :-)

That's a nice one. Have not done any geocaching in about a year, but here's one I maintain in Oceanside:

I've got a Garmin GPSMap60Csx.

The Garmin GPSMap60Csx is a nice one. I've used a Garmin eTrex Vista for several years. I just picked up a eTrex Vista Cx.

Nope was not intending to use it for geocaching, just wanted to use it to put in location I was going to this weekend that did not have a good street address, but posted their GPS coordinates. In this case it was a fishing dock.

I thought there was an option in the nav settings to show lat/long... not that it would be useful for much, but I'm pretty sure I've seen it in there somewhere.

You're right, you can view the lat and long for your current location. The OP wants to input a destination using lat and long to avoid entering a long address which may or may not be in the current map release.
