So far I am incline to agree, but my grill looks like a$$ with all the rock chips. I'm going to try to make an appointment with the stealership to look at a couple service bulletins and I'm definitely going to talk to them about this issue as well.

They ordered me a replacement but were reluctant because they said they are rock chips and not pitting or flaking or some crap like that. I'm not possitive because my wife picked it up. Thay also told her that they would only replace it once. We'll see about that.

He said he was going to try and 'get it by' his manager again. So, we shall see. Pisses me off that I may have wadted 4 hours driving back and forth 2x to get an oil change, I would have it done locally in 30 minutes if not for getting the grill replaced, which on the phone he said would be 'no problem'.

I had mine replaced within the last couple of weeks and it was the same Part # , it is the same grill with no improvements for the pitting problem. My Dealer has only replaced two so far, but I think that is because most people there don't care as much about their car's appearance as we do and just have not complained.

Eh, I'm not going to bother having mine replaced unless they improve it. Why, so it can only pit and chip again in another 3 months? I do a lot of daily highway driving with it and its just a fact of life for me. I cant be worried about replacing the grill 2-3 times a year.

Any idea if they have changed the supplier and the quality or if this will be an ongoing issue?

I'm sure most owners aren't as careful as you in maintaining the appearance of their car.

That's a shame they haven't improved the replacement grilles. At some point they'll likely try to stop replacing them under warranty. I had that with pitted wheels on my Jeep Gr. Cherokee where they would only do it once and told me so up front.

Yeah I mean I Zaino my car 3x a week so its not like I dont care how it looks. Just that if I'm only going to replace it with the same crappy grill its not worth my time to get it done.

Sad but true...

Where are the aftermarket companies? If someone could make a metal (or durable) stock knockoff for a reasonable price, I know that I would be all over it!

Well, I just checked... There are no TSB's or Service File info for the front grilles...

They are READLY AVAILABLE in ALL LOCAL INFINITI PARTS DISTRIBUTION CENTERS... It should not take more then 2 INFINITI Parts Business Days (Tuesday-Saturday) to receive the part into a dealers invintory...

If you would like to purchase from me...

$172.50 Shipped out side of CA in the Lower 48 US States
$184.92 Shipped IN California
