It laid flat on every turn i can throw at it, and though it did give me some understeer when i try to take turn at speeds i wouldn't try to do in my G, I was impressed. There's a turn i take to work everyday, and i did probably a whole 10-15 mph quicker around that turn in the TL than i can in the G.
I'm lost on this one - I too think the TL-S is a nice-looking car, and would have considered it if I didn't care about FWD vs. RWD. But a TL can take a corner faster than a G? That's hard to believe if you're driving both of them correctly.

Mine can handle corners faster than I thought possible without complaint (the new benchmark is at least 3x the stated corner speed limit - this is pretty entertaining in 15 mph corners )

I just took my car into the stealership for service, and they gave me an 07 sedan loaner. I am totally impressed with the car. Has great power on the FWY.

I am more of a handling guy (thus the reason I had a Cayman and not a Cayman S, same handling and $12K less). Overall, the steering in the 1994 Probe GT felt vastly superior to the Mustang. Yes, the Mustang was faster in the stoplight grand prix, but the Probe was a superior car on mtn roads. And that's what I like.

I've seen two posts on this:
  1. One guy took his G to the track, and he was faster in DS
  2. Second guy did more runs, and provided a detailed description (i.e. seemed to be good data), and he found zero difference in times between the two
