Just Drove 07 Sedan

Hey guyss.. Im usually on the g37 part of this forum. But my friend mom just bought a g35 sedan and he drives a acura tl so he switches on and off and today he let me take it for a spin. The interior and exterior has stepped up, navi is really nice and the coolest thing is that he could burn songs right on to the memory. But when i took it out of course the first thing i did was find a straight blockk andd through it in "sport"... i floored it. I was impressed its quick it actually feels that it has alot of torquee. But his tl feels quicker 30+ but it isnt stock. But yeaa i was very impressed by the new g35 sedan hopefuly g37 would be the same if not a little better..

By the way its g35 sedan blue slate black interior navi..

What is the differnce between sport and trip??

I'm glad you enjoyed driving the 07 Sedan. The interior of the 07 Sedan is virtually the same as the upcoming G37. If I understand you correctly, you are asking what the difference is between DS mode and tiptronic, correct?

If that is your question, than tiptronic obviously gives you complete control of when you shift. DS Mode is full automatic mode, however it's more aggressive and takes the shifts higher to the redline than plain ole Drive.

Good review, whats done to the TL? The bone stock 07G35 would absolutely destroy a TL, so I'm curious about what he has done to it.

The TL was also a top contender when I was looking for a new car. The biggest difference for me, in favor of the Infiniti, was that Infiniti had AWD in the G35x. AWD overshadowed other differences between the two, at least for me.

the TL is going to be set for a redesign very soon while you'll have the G looking nice and new.

also the TL-S doesn't handle as good as the G -- especially when those tires go bald on a fwd car

The acura tl has AEM intake, type s exhaust, change the cats (racing), and he has the racing pulleys done to it he is also thinking about straight piping it.. but its quick it has top end powerr..

yeah DS is probably faster in a straight line than manually selecting gears. However, if you were at the track manually selecting the right gear versus having to wait for the DS mode to kickdown would probably make the manual mode faster.

I drove an 07 TL (loaner) for a week and decided to buy the G35 when i gave the TL back to acura. But i haven't driven the TL type S but the regular TL i think handles better than my 07 G35. It laid flat on every turn i can throw at it, and though it did give me some understeer when i try to take turn at speeds i wouldn't try to do in my G, I was impressed. There's a turn i take to work everyday, and i did probably a whole 10-15 mph quicker around that turn in the TL than i can in the G. I deciding between the G35 and the TL, and though the TL would have been 4k cheaper, i decided on the G mostly b/c of the straight line speed, and i didn't want a car that was about to change shape in a year...
