best guess, park next to nice cars!!!

so i found a lil tiny dent on my passenger's door today when i walked up to my car. some **** must have open his door soooooooo hard that it actually make a dent to my door!!! oh, not to mention with a lil scratch on it.

the dent isn't all that big afterall, but big enough for me to notice it right away when i was walking up to it.... =(

i never ever park at a small space, and i always try to park next to nice cars, so at least i know that they care bout their cars too... haha

how do you guys prevent that from happening? i mean it's not a big deal really, but i'm just pissed off because it's so visible!!!!!!!!!

i guess.. the best thing to do is to not park next any cars at all lol. yea i baby my car like crazy.

sorry to hear that. almost no way to prevent parking lot dings. even nice cars will ding you. it all depends on the thoughtfulness of the driver.

you can park where no one else parks, but that is not 100% safe either.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I was lucky with my last G35; it took 8 months to get my first ding. With the new one it only took a week. Just because it is a "nice" car in LA doesn't mean they care about their car. Nice cars in LA are a dime a dozen.

i hate that. i usually park next to the median and as close as i can to it. that way only 1 side of the car is exposed to morons.

I always avoid parking next to any truck, SUV, or van, and I never park between any of the three. I try to park near nicely fixed up cars only, and I avoid Benzes, Bimmers, etc... Just because they drive an expensive car does not mean they care. But if they drive a nicely fixed up car (clean, not a riced out), they can feel your pain.

one further note, i would avoid parking next to any car with a child seat inside (i have one). nevertheless, you cannot control who parks next to you, if/when there is an empty spot next to you.

I don't park next to SUV's and trucks. It's usally the children that get in and out of the rear doors that cause the dings. I know because my kids caused a couple dings on my car in our own garage. Urhh!!

This is why I park in the middle of nowhere.. Usually the best bet but longest walk..

Sometimes you can luck out and find a space that has no one that can park on either side I love those!

No door dings or scratches yet and I have had my car for 8 months.. (knocking on wood)

Tried parking in the middle of no where in my first new car and it ended up getting keyed.
