Guys,

Last week I got out of work and turned on my car and the low tire pressure light came on -- so i walk around the car looked for nails / a flat and nothing. Now since i had been in work all day if i had gotten a nail or something stuck in the tire- just given the low profile of the tire it would have been visable to the eye. So i chalked it up as - having the car for 6 months and not having filled the tires with air. Anyways, went and filled the tires to 32/33 psi as recommended (i have and X with the stock 17s)

Now about 5 days later the light is on again? I drove the car all day yesterday - no light. I parked last night and came out this morning to head to work and there is the low tire pressure indicator on again. It was cold here in New England last night - do you think that might have some effect on the indicators reading the accurate pressure?

anyone run into a issue with the indicator? I haven't hit a curb or anothing so the rims have had the chance to be bent.

It could be the day/night temperature differences as you think if the tire pressure is really close to the limit where the sensor kicks in. But I think you have an airleak somewhere. Have you checked your tire pressure? It can be low again. If that's the case than you have to get your tires for a check. Maybe it isn't a nail maybe just doesn't seal between the tire and the wheel.

I have a slight leak in one of my rear tires. Sport wheels. The tire pressure light comes on about every 2 weeks after I refill. It will come on whenever tire pressure falls to ~26psi. I can't tell visibly tell the difference between 33 and 26psi.

I had a problem with my tire pressure sensor about 2 weeks ago. The light would turn on but all 4 tires had the correct amount of air. I took it in to the dealer and it took them a day to find out what was wrong with it but it turned out that the rear left tire pressure sensor malfunctioned. So it took them another day to order the part and have it replaced. Its only been about a week but it seems to have fixed the problem i had.
