Ski/Snowboard Racks With No Bolting?

Are there any ski or snowboard racks out there that just fasten to the windows or something? I would like to be able to rack my snowboards without using the seat pass-through so I can have more space in the car, but I want to be able to remove the rack when I'm not going snowboarding.

If anyone knows of a good product, let me know.

I haven't been able to find anything yet, Neither Yakima nor Thule have a rack available for the 07 sedan according to their websites. I've been looking since I picked up my X in in November because you can barely fit one pair of skis through the pass through and forget about a snowboard.

I saw something at Costco a few months ago, but I have not seen it since. It was a suction cup type rack that went on the roof (obviously). It seemed pretty good and it was only $20 CDN or so.

^^
I think it used magnets, and I assume that was the reason it was clearance for only $20 when it originally sold for more than $100. I woundn't trust that thing with my snowboard let alone trusting it not to damage my roof.

Oh...maybe that's why I didn't buy it in the first place. But if it used magnets...how would you get it off? Oh well...it was probably a flawed design anyway.

Saris?

Check out Saris and their "Load Bars" (www.saris.com).

I have not used them, but I need some racks for surfboard/bike and this
is all I have found for the g35. Who wants to be the guinea-pig?

Anyone out there have experience these racks?

Jim

That's what I noticed about the passthrough - a snowboard you can forget about it, and that's my primary snow-sport. I avoid roofracks, because generally you end up looking like that super-hero driving the VW Golf with a permanent roof rack in the middle of the summer.
