And if you pay it down faster than 36 months, your savings will be even greater.
Just a thought, but good negotiated price to me..

The MSRP of the vehicle was $40,867, and I negotiated it to a flat $34,900 + TTL + 0.9% APR for 60 months.
PM me if you need further details about the dealer & sales guy -- overall it was a very pleasant experience. Thank you all for all the feedback you have given -- you guys are awesome!

I'm assuming that you got the special financing with that deal too?

After seeing the price difference between the '08 and '09 there was no way I was going to pay THAT much more for the newwer model...
Given that, yesterday I ended up picking up an '08 Platinum Graphite/Graphite G35x w/ Premium Package, Navigation, splash guards, wheel locks, mats, and cargo net for $31,700 before TTL.
Seems like a lot of car for the money! Now I just have to wait out the break-in period

Unless and until someone is buying (and registering) the vehicle in the exact same location (and I emphasis the word exact since different counties, for example, could have different taxes) where you are located, OTD prices are an otiose. Thus, what really matters is the MSRP of the vehicle, and the negotiated price before TTL.

I am leasing my 2008 G35 Journey/Sport. BMW didn't care to deal on '08 left-overs and the price of a similarly equipped 335i is some $12K over the Infiniti which makes absolutely no sense ....
Looking at the horrendous depreciation these cars or cars in general suffer right now there is no way I am going to buy. On top of that a new G37 will come out in 2010 as a 2011 model, so watch resale plummet.
There is no way that my G35 is still worth the $20K residual they figure in the lease after the 39 mo. (52%) are over. I see what one year old G35's actually sell for right now on eBay and its around $23K. I would venture to say that a realistic residual after 39 mo. is more like $15K if that.
Anyway ... My deal is ...
- Lease for 39 mo. with 12K mls. per year.
- MSRP of my G35S is $37,935
- Cap cost is $34,841 ... so they gave me a $3,094 discount to reduce cap cost.
- Residual is 52% after 39 mo. or $19,726
- Money factor is .00086 (or 2.06% interest) ... which I think is a really good lease interest.
- Paid $1,517 up front money (OTD) for: $495 Doc fee, $575 Acq. Fee and $447 first month's payment
- 38 payments @ $447.51/mo
Anyone who also leases care to comment what they got?

On Dec. 26, I brought home a Red/Wheat with rosewood, premium, mats/cargo/splash guards for $29813 including TTL. Used the VSS discount my wife gets where she works. Dealer is also extending drivetrain warrenty for as long as I own the car. Also got 4.99% for 72 months from my credit union. With the VSS, the best Nissan could do was 5.79%. I am so happy right now.
