are sport seats softer than regular?

I have an '07 journey with sport wheels (couldn't get sport pkg at the time).

I find the bottom seat cushions to be too firm and uncomfortable on long trips as compared to my wife's BMW 335.

I sat in the new g37 coupe at the dealer and it seemed those seats were slightly softer than mine...and more comfortable.

1. are the sport seats (specifically the bottom cushions) softer than regular seats?

2. does the G37 use the exact same seats as those found in the G35 sport package, or are they different?

No, the sport seats are more firm.

I had a Journey for a week when my Sport was in the shop, and the seats left me wanting more bolster and seat firmness. Infiniti has never been known for 'plush' seats. If I were to say any *** brands seats were soft, it would be Lexus.

i know the g37 seats are shaped differently because it's a coupe but it probably feels the same.

I actually like the seats in the X. After having a Z for 3 years these seats to me seem to be the right combination of plushness/firmness. To each his own though since for every body height/weight we will think different things about each seat.

My right butt cheek argues that the leather is much more softer in the sport but my left butt cheek disagrees and says that the journey seats are softer and more tender....im impartial to both

After using a Journey Rental for a few days, I have to agree they were kind of firm under my butt and quite uncomfortable. After owning a Coupe, the sport seats are the only way to go. The seats in my Coupe were one of the main reasons for my purchase.

I think the sport seats are more comfortable (bigger side bolsters), I dunno if they're firmer or not.

Interesting that the BMW seats were "softer." I've always thought BMW seats were way too firm in the past.

Soft/firm/whatever, just let your butt decide which is more "comfortable."

I don't think I've noticed a difference in firmness between the X loaner I had and my Sport. But if anything, the Sport seats would be stiffer.

The non-Sport seats are definitely softer than the Sport seats. There's enough of a difference between the two that it's noticeable. The thigh bolsters are what make the big difference. The non-Sport seats lack the bolsters and therefore there's more soft plushy real estate under your azz in place of the butt hugging bolsters.
