I keep popping my trunk!

I office right above the parking garage at work and I keep popping the trunk in my car while having my keys in my pocket. I know the obvious fix is "Don't put your keys in your pocket" but can anyone think of anything else I might be able to try? Is there any setting I can change so it's not so sensitive.

Really wouldn't be that big of a deal as only a few people are down there but I just happened to have two flat screen TV's in boxes in my car when it happened yesterday. This has happened 4 or 5 times over the last week.

Get one of those mini cliff hanger clips that you can attach your keys, and then hook it to your belt sleeve

Just be glad it doesn't let you pop the trunk while moving. I've reached for the trac button and hit the trunk button numerous times, I would assume the remote functions in the same manner.

Try turning the remote over in your pocket, it might take the pressure off of the buttons. Alternatively there are a few different ikey covers available now that might help.

can't you disable the trunk pop with the glove box switch?

From the inside, not from the remote. That switch to to prevent valets from getting into your trunk.

It fully disables the trunk, you can't open it with out disabling the lock. Think about it the valet has the remote.
