MPH will tell you if regular auto vs. paddle shifting makes any difference.
Honestly, I doubt it would. If anything, you'll just be more consistent in regular auto.
Remember, .1 second difference in a 60' will make .2 seconds difference in a 1/4 mile. That could be your difference right there.
And DS vs. D vs. Paddle shifting won't change your 60'.
I'm assuming VDC was off. That'll just slow you down if not.

Yeah, VDC was off. With Auto, my max MPH was 80.78, with paddle shifters, my max MPH was 83.47.
Actually, I was very surprised at how consistent the car was either way. This car is extremely easy to launch once you get a feel for it. It is actually easier to launch than my old Grand Prix, no matter how careful I launched, I would smoke the front tires off!!!
