It's kinda asking when you're gonna die.

Not to be an *******, it's the perfect anology.

Any particular reasons why you're asking? I hope mine lasts longer than 1 year.

Before I got my new i-keys (recall), I had one that would eat a battery about once a month. No problem yet with the new keys.

They will last longer if you do not use the transmitter (buttons) feature. The RFID portion should use much less power.

It will vary based on several variables as the key will switch back and forth between active an passive modes. I've had my keys for almost a year and never changed the battery.

keyfob batteries on prev. cars (without the "intelligent" feature) have lasted longer than 7 yrs.
So I won't worry too much about it (passive RFID is not a huge draw anyways) - should go 4 or 5 yrs easy.
