Angry Music Box

I purchased my 08 G35 about a month ago and was pretty excited about the music box. I know the capacity is a bit on the small side, but I don't listen to CD's that much anyways.

I have one major complaint about the Music Box after trying it out on a trip. I can't find a way to change albums or artists while on the go! WTF??? Am I missing something?

While stationary, I have the option to "search" by artist album etc., but while moving I only get the "play" artist album etc., which only continues to play the current artist or album.

Is there a way around this or am I doing something wrong?

i had the same complaint and then stumbled on how to change artist while driving. if you turn the **** on the right (i think it is the folder ****) you can scroll through the different CD's you have saved.

I agree though...it is pretty lame that we can't search the artist, album, etc. while in motion. I am still waiting for someone to come up with a hack/mod to allow us to access all the options while driving!!!

You can do the same thing on the wheel by holding down the changer flipper button thingy(yes that's a technical term) that changes songs. It will automatically skip to the next album saved.

Sweet guys... thanks!

I figured there was a way to do it. The sad part is that the neither the salesman nor the service tech knew how to do it!

I haven't used the Music Box at all but, from what you guys are describing, I think it doesn't make any sense that Infiniti would allow you to have complete access to all iPod controls while moving, yet lock out certain options to the Music Box while the car is in motion.

I played around with this last night and it really is pretty easy.

If you are in "Play By Artist" mode, holding down the "finger flapper" scrolls thought the artists and if in "Play By Album" mode it scrolls though the albums.

While not perfect, it is very easy to do.

What does the Music Box record as? Surely it's not just the audio file from the CD, those are huge, and 9.5 gb would fill quickly. LOL, funny, my first computer had a 4 gb hard drive, and back then I thought that was huge! I just used Music Box for the first time, and it was much easier than I had expected, it's great! I wonder though, why some CD's give album and track ino, and some don't, notably the new release, Long Road Out Of Eden by the Eagles, I had to enter the album/artist/track info manually, but the other 5 I recorded, it came right of the CD.
