Worst weatherstrip and heated seats ever?

HI,
This is just a quick rant...
Should I just accept that my drivers side heated seat sucks royally? I had the "repair" done, still sux.
Also, does anyone else have a problem with the rubber door weatherstrip along the tops of the windows popping out?
Dumb system...
J

I have the same problem with the weather strip. I think there is TSB out on the problem.

If that's the only issue you have, those are nothing. There is a TSB for the trim. I knew about both before I bought my '07, no big deal on either!

weatherstripping is not something that can really be fixed by TSB.

it is a poor design, I have not seen another car with a similiar design that i can recall. The problem is you often hit it when opening and especially closing the door, and it is very vunerable...very poor design.

The htd seats suck, compared to my BMW.

I said they don't get hot and heat up as fast as my BMW.

You know what the dealer says to me: We know, they don't get as hot as BMW or heat up as quickly.

Nice answer, nice conceding that your competition has better technology. The whole point of heated seats is to get nice warmth NOW, on a cold morning.

My BMW seats heat up within 30 seconds, the Infiniti took a little over three minutes this morning (I timed it).

I came from a bmw too, maybe I am spoiled, but they do take waaaaay too long. I didnt know there was a TSB on the weatherstrip. I doubt it would do much anyway, but I will look into it.
Overall, I do like the G35 better than any BMW I ever had though, and I had quite a few including an '04 M3.

Your BMW might have had leatherette - basically plastic. It would heat up faster than real leather.

I'll take the easy to use navi system over the slow heated seats.

Yea, and maybe the slow heat up is better for our leather.

My weatherstripping started coming out, I pushed it back in - no problem since then.

Re heated seats, hadn't ever noticed a problem (I live in Houston, cold is relative here), until this week I drove a Chrysler Crossfire in Sonoma (lows down to low 40s). Those seats got HOT! Comparatively, the Gs are pretty weak.

I've taken mine back 3 times for the weather stripping. My Nissan Quest's heated seats are awesome as were every car I've had leather in. My G35's are horrible. Sometimes I even wonder if they are working.

To put my .02 in. I know other cars have a "better" heated seat. My other car has a hot seat. It is anoyingly hot. I feel like I pissed myself . Than it shuts off and turns on etc. My a$$ sweat when it is on. I love the infiniti's heated seat. It is warm not hot. It is steady.

About the weather strip. Most people got the TSB done have no problem since. Wouldn't just make sence to take it to the dealer and get it fixed. That's why the warranty for.

I agree, I live in LA and I don't need to burn my a$$. and if the weather strip is his major complain I take it.
