Lights flicker when Slip light comes on

Maybe it's a safety feature to let other drivers know you are slipping when you lights flicker.

Exactly. With the viscous rear, it takes a second or two for the diff to lock up. Before it does this the wheels turn at different speeds and the car senses the speed differential.....SLIP light goes on.

yesterday, i noticed that my lights flickered in a straight line with ABS kicking in. Now I was on a very very rough unplowed snowy road, so along with the ABS kicking in, the road was bumpy so the flicker could have been an illusion as a result of the jarring up and down.

IIRC, the '07x doesn't have limited slip rear diff.
