Angry HELP!! disconnected the battery b-coz service engine soon.

hey guys,
well, my service engine light came on. the funny thing is that the gas cap came off. i dont get how it did that since, the last time i filled up my car was last week and that means the light should have came on a week ago. after researching over this forum, i decided to refill my gas tank and wait for the light to come off. After waiting over 100 miles, i couldn't stand it anymore and cerritos inifinit was trying to charge me for a diagnostic fee. so, i just decided to disconnect my battery and reconnect it. Happily the light went away, but my power windows aren't a one click automatic anymore and my sunroof would not go all the way back it goes prob up to like 3/4 and my memory seat thing wont work too now!!! =X so, i called tustin infiniti and they told me they will fix it, but if i wanted them to check other things that are wrong w/ the car, they would have to charge me for that. wat should i do? do you guys know some other effects of disconnecting the battery?

I had the same problem with the windows.. follow ChristianN's tip on fixing them in this thread:

https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sedan-v36-2007-08/189899-windows-auto-up-not-working.html

As for the memory seats, i just re-adjusted the seats and reset the memory

I didn't encounter the moon-roof issue not opening up all the way though. Sorry

I don't think Tustin and Cerritos Infiniti should be charging for this stuff as it sounds like it should be covered under warranty.

+1 They shouldn't have tried to charge a fee for diagnostics to begin with - bumper to bumper warranty, if something breaks, they fix
