How do I remove the oil reminder thing?

I got the oil change at 3,000 miles. I'm currently at 5,300 and the car keeps flashing the red light when I turn on the car. I want it to stop reminding me every time I turn on the car.

Procedure is on page 2-28 of the owner's manual. But it doesn't really tell you much in way of what to do for the actual mileage # to put in. At least I got the warning to go away.

FYI: Car has to be running and not just powered on to make changes.
