I have to say, they really want a lot of money to inspect... Time to put on my glasses and take a look, I am going to make a binder with my maint. and i am going to do a checklist and check it off myself, so if they deny any claims I will have a checklist, might even take a few pics... Oil change I will still do at the dealer. But air fliters/ etc, I will do at home. ..

I know the threads old, but I'm due for my $15K. The dealer charges $400, I get it for $350 because I have free oil changes. Because I have the auto/sport they don't do the tire rotation, or 1/2 the inspections, and I don't get charged for the oil change. so my thought is that I should be paying for 1-1.5 hours worth of inspection which is reasonable for (full brake system, suspension, axle, steering, exhaust, differential oil & tranny oil.) and perform a replacement on the cabin filter and engine air filters. I total it up to $200-$250 is a reasonable price.
$50 for air filters
$60 for cabin filter
$80-$120 for inspection labor.
So if you got yours done for $225 OP, then that's not too bad a deal, although they should have put in the engine air filters for that price.
Since I own this car and it is new and has not had an inspection, I'd think it's worth getting the $15K inspections. Then at 30K I'll probably get another if it's under $200 in inspection labor.
They way I see it, getting free oil changes for life at no charge, I can put that avoided maintenance cost toward the inspections.
