I can't see the point to do that. The valet key is good if you have a lockable glovecompartment and you want to put your stuff in it lock it and valet can't get in there. Or like some high end car have performance key so you only can push the car to its limit if you have the original key.
Valet key is an inexpensive copy key usually.
Like now you give your fob to your valet. So for what reason you keep the key?

Just doesn't make sense.
I remember reading an article back several years ago and the reporter was asking around some driver at the hotel if they have a valet key. I can't recall the exact % age for it. It was something huge like 60-70 % of the drivers did not know they have valet key. And out of the rest only 10% was using the valet key the rest even tho they knew there is a valet key they give the original key to the valet with home keys and all other keys attached to the remote and keys.

Hey, to each their own regarding having a valet park your car but the piont is there is a functional valet key with the G.
