Wind Noise from Sunroof Wind Deflector

The wind deflector that pops up when I open my sunroof all the way seems to be causing a lot of wind noise. It almost sounds like a there's a little shop vac on the roof of my car. Is this normal? When I reach up an pull it back down the noise goes away, but it does allow more air to come into the cockpit of course. I haven't bothered looking up there yet when parked, to see if there is an easy way to remove it. I'm just curious if they all do this and if anyone has removed thiers yet, and if so what the effect was.

Disclaimer: This not to b!tch, moan, or complain about the car. I love it, just comparing notes.

Oh, and I'd have searched but the little search window is opening up behind the Bruce Lee banner ad, so I can't get to it!

Just take it to the dealer and they should fix or tweak it out

I wrote about this in another forum. The pop up wind deflector in my 03 sedan had slots in it which seemed to reduce the turbulence and noise above 50 mph or so. My 07x doesn't have them. Wonder why Infiniti did away with a good thing?

this is is unusually wide. with our 3/4 sunroof, this would leave only a few inches of open air. the lower profile sure makes it look slick though.

if anyone has info on how the attachment gear looks/works, please share!
