Factory license plate mounting kit

So I just dropped my car off to get a couple of the TSB's applied to my 07 Sport. I have done a lot of searching in the forums on front license plate mounts, but did not find anything regarding the factory front mounting kit. I noticed that my loaner has it, and I would like to have it on my car. I agree that it makes the car look worse, but here in WA it's the law and I'd rather not be worrying about it.

The service guy said that the factory kit is like $100 and another $30-50 for installation! For some stupid plastic frame? What a joke. Does anyone here have experience with this kit or know where I can find one less expensively? I have looked at the Stillen kit and really don't think it's for me. Here's a few pics of the factory kit - I like how it fits or "molds" to the front bumper:

WTF?! That's a stock front license plate mount. License plate mounts should be included with ANY car that you purchase from a dealership!!! I can't believe they're actually charging for that!!

Well, that's part of the issue - I didn't purchase from the dealership. I purchased it used from a private dealership. So of course, they want to charge me an arm and a leg for something that's free for their customers.

Agreed with the poster above. Definitely comes with your vehicle, at no extra charge. Call your dealership and demand one. If that doesn't work out, I'll sell you mine

Think I remember where mine is - if I find it you can have it cheap... But agree that the dealer needs to come through for it.

..... so if car is used original owner may have trashed.
BTW, i have run without a front plate for 15 years here in Missouri. Got caught one time by a damn meter maid, heh.
other than that i've rec'vd several speeding tickets and cops never noticed no front plate. Had my 06 coupe over 2 years .... fingers crossed!

Ya, the car was originally purchased in Oregon where front plates aren't required, so the original owner either trashed it or never had it in the first place.

Believe me, if my wife wasn't so ridiculously overly concerned about it, i would just go without the damn plate!

Where can I but bumper plugs if I don't feel like having a front plate?

these work very well for G35's. Colors match too, just check out their Color-Match chart.
