Six CD Changer in the Trunk?

Six CD Changer in the Trunk?
Let me start off by saying that I'm not complaining, just questioning the rational.
Infiniti puts in an Ipod connector, auxilary ports, single CD player that plays multiple formats and downloads to a 9 GB hard-drive, XM radio and a CompactFlash reader-- then puts a 6 CD changer in the trunk? Why didn't they add an 8 track player and some turntables while they were back there? My dad would love that.
Did anyone else do a double take when the salesperson told about the CD changer?

Honestly it isn't a big deal to me. I'd much rather have the HDD-based navi, even if that means the changer is located in the trunk. After all, most of my music is on my iPod anyway.

Why don't you try and let us all know?
I've taken out the wires that connects to the CD player before while I was doing the sub-woofer installation, but it seemed to be ok..., but don't take my words for it since I put them back on as soon as I tested the woofer was working... LOL
I've got a weak heart for me to do such things... LOL

I have not done it yet...but to my knowledge you can just unplug the harness going to the changer. I was going to put electric tape over the open end of the harness just for extra safety. Once you unplug the changer, the only change to the system is that it will not show up when you cycle through the various sources (CD player, XM radio, FM radio, Music Box, etc.)
