Yes, and that works out well on long drives. I listed to several audio books while driving 2,600 miles to and from Florida this month, and still had the choice of selecting the radio, single CD player, or Music Box.

ive had my g for a year now and i still havent even taken the six disc holder out of the plastic bag! it does seem alittle overkill especially with all the other options for music in the car. between the radio, xm, cf card, single cd slot, and downloaded songs on the hardrive, i can drive for hours and not even think about the changer. i actually forgot i had one until this thread came up!

If you're ever traveling with big bags or if you have a set of golf clubs, you'll be amazed how much more room you have and how much easier it is to get big bags in and out of the trunk if you swap the liner!

If you get the Premium, but not the Nav options, do they still put the changer in the trunk????

Nope. With premium the changer is in the dash.

If you have the budget for NAV though, I'd go with it (the hard drive system isn't perfect, but it's better than nothing). Then just spend a couple more bux and get a new trunk liner.

I'm not liking what I've been reading about the dumbed down Nav commands, so I was thinking about going w/ just the premium, and adding a Garmin Black Box for Nav later (routing through display).

Sure do like that back-up camera, and I would like the HD, but w/ the Ipod hook-up being part of the premium, that wouldn't really be necessary.

I'll probabably end-up flipping a coin.

Probably a discussion for another thread, but I've been using nav on my 07 for a year now. It works and always get me where I want to go. The black box certainly reviews better, but with the black bock there's no hard drive. Of course, I have an 07, so there's no ipod control connection...

yess the changer in the trunk iss soo annoying i use the CF for mjusic mostly but my complaint is the lack of trunk space cant fit anything because of the huge bulge sticking out where cant put anything in or take anything out.

Anyone know if you can swap out the cd changer in the trunk for something else, like perhaps a sirius receiver or even an hd radio? I know it sounds silly, but I have an M35X right now and elected to get sirius, instead of XM. On newer cars that is no longer an option. Going to miss howard stern....

thought i would breath some life into this old post!

so i finally got around to ordering a new trunk liner from the web site in post #23 above. i will be sure & post my thoughts after swapping everything out.

Also, if anyone is interested in buying my CD changer & trunk liner...just let me know! it all works great & is in as new condition! I have literally only used it twice!

I can't say yes for all of the options, but I do know that you use that harness to connect a Sirius receiver. See this post for detials.

UPDATE...i got the part i ordered from the site above & it was the exact one i already had!

it is actually pretty neat what their system does. it compared my VIN number to the part i ordered and adjusted my order to send me the part that originally came on my car. too bad that was not actually what i needed.

no big deal though...a quick phone call & they are going to send me the correct part as soon as they receive this one back. and yes, they are covering the shipping to send back the part.

overall, i was very impressed with the service at www.infinitipartsusa.com.

Can The changer be used in a non nav car? Is there a connection for it in the trunk? I have the nav and don't use the changer and my daughter doesn't have the nav but may use the changer.
