FAQ Thread

The last number of months I haven't visited this section nearly as much as I did in the past. Needless to say, I've been quite lax in keeping the FAQ thread updated with new info.

Can any of you guys think of any useful and informative threads that you feel should be included in the FAQ thread?

DIYs? There are few DIYs in the tech sections you might be able to add onto the FAQ thread...?

ALSO, threads regarding to the MPG... as you can probably tell already, there're so freaking many of them now. Maybe you can link all together in the FAQ thread so people will stop asking about them?

Good suggestions, I've added the DIY threads from the Tech section. I've noticed a couple of threads regarding the differences between the 07 and 08 MY, that might be a good addition too.

I agree with both suggestions. Here's a couple more, that may already be included in other FAQs:

1. Tips and tricks (features that the G has and other cars don't)

2. "Wish it hads" (features that are missing, yet common in similar cars)

Shane,

How about a thread on the intelligent key functionality, such as whether or not the car shuts off if the key is not in the car and someone drives off. That one has certainly been asked a few times since I've been on these boards.

Good idea Shawn. How about this thread, or is there a better one I can add to the FAQs?

Thanks for asking. Off the top of my head, I can't point you to any. But, for "wish it hads," the 07+ New Owner sub-board has had a number of mentions of the TPMS not showing individual tire pressures, which even the TL has had for three years, or maybe 4.

For secret tips/tricks . . . I don't know, but there are lots of kewl features to the G that are not immediately evident. I mean, they may be in one of the manuals, but they are not readily apparent. For example, the fact that the factory default on the premium package doesn't have the auto wheel lift and seat retreat function enabled is interesting. Why aren't those features the default?

I, for one, is effect by this problem and will be taking my car in for it for the next oil change.
