broken doors
broken doors
this is a follow up to my post in this earlier thread (https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sedan-v36-2007-08/200143-anyone-have-problems-rear-doors.html) where some members noted their broken rear doors.
I took my car to the dealer today to get my front door fixed (because it wouldn't open) and I guess these electronic door locking mechanisms are known to be faulty on various doors because the service tech said this is not their first, just unfortunate that it happened to my driver's door.
The dealer is now ordering a new "front door lock and remote control actuator" for my car to fix this issue. They are also ordering a new interior door panel for my car in case they crack the current one because they would need to reach the innards of the door without the ability to open it.
What should I look out for when I get my car back (besides the fact that I can open the door and perhaps the lining up of the trim pieces)?
