Well my third G is my new X with every option available. It is IP with the two tone interior which I really like. I have to say my 05 was a big step over the 03 but this is a huge step over my 05X! I had red, then black & now IP.

I just got it out of the Tinting Illusions shop in Calgary and they 3M the whole front including 24" on hood, fenders, bumper, and 20% all around.

In the picture it might look lighter in the front but that is the light shinning thru the windshield. The tint does not look very dark during the day especially if you open the sunroof shade.... so I keep mine closed.

I really like my choice on 20% tint and think it is the right amount and I have to give a plug for the new company Tinting Illusions for their fine work in Calgary, Alberta.

I also debaged the G35X & left the rest, and put on splash guards. Now I am ready to post pics

Thanks guys. When I drove up to the tinting shop, I thought the 20% looked too light but that was because it was parked in the sun with the shade open so light was glaring in from the top & the windshield. Now that I have it on the road I think the tint is perfect as I keep the shade closed & it is not too dark at night. I also did not want the two tone 20% rear, 35% front look so decided 20 all the way around. If the police pull p I guess I open the sunroof shade or roll down the window.

I took a pic of the 3M but it does not show up, but nice to know it is there!

 

Congrats...not many 3rd generation G owners in here. I know there are a bunch of two time onwers, but you might be the first 3rd timer I've seen.

Congrats...and I agree that the tint is perfect. I wanted 20%, but in Cali 35% is already pushing it on the fronts.

 

Funny thing is I wanted to buy something different just to have/try something different but for the money it is hard to beat the quality & power. The only other thing I would have considered was the 335Xi but then money/value came into play.

 

every option? i don't see the upgraded sport wheels

 

I thought you couldn't get sport wheels (staggered) on the X?
