Problem with fog lights

Today i installed some 9006 hid foglights. They were working fine, however i was using one cheap no name ballast and when i turned them on the light would flicker. So i went home and swapped the ballast for a oem Hella ballast that i had that i knew worked fine. I plugged it in, and now neither fog lights turn on. I dont know what the problem is, nor do i even know where the fuse is to even check if the fuse is the problem. However, i had a 10 amp inline fuse going to the ballast that didnt pop. But they wont come on, any idea what the problem is?

I suggest you remove the whole HID setup you have for the foglights and see if the fog lights work with regular bulbs. If not I'm sorry to say but you fried something my friend. Good luck finding the problem!

There is no fuse for the foglights? How can they have a seperate circuit for the lights without a fuse for them?

There is a 15A fuse for the foglights.
I changed it to 20A when I installed my Philips 9006 HID.
07+ G35 has three fuse boxes.
One was located near the kick panel.
The other two were located near the battery.
One of fuse boxs near the battery was easy to find and open.
Another one was hidden behind the battery, and hard to find.
Unfortunately, the foglights fuse was located on the hidden one.

Thanks Antibes! Im hoping thats all it is. Because they were working fine with the cheap chinese ballast, but when i put my oem Hella ballast on, they wouldnt come on. Maybe the Hella pulled more amps to fire up because i know my hella ballast warm up in like 2 sesconds where as the cheap ballast would take nearly 5-7 seconds. I'll check it out after work today and report back. If its just the fuse then im going to go tonight and get some material to make a heavy duty wiring harness for them and just use the stock plug as my switched lead for the harness.

sometimes mine will flicker on then off when i try to turn them on. but its maybe once every 2 weeks. I just cut them off and try again and they will work.

You could have fried your wiring harness. I would go check out that fuse first though.

Got it working. It was the fuse. Just came back from getting supplies to make a heavy duty harness for them. That was such a relief to see the fuse blown, considering i just got the car friday afternoon lol

I havent made the harness yet. I just put the stock halogens back in. It started getting dark by the time i got off work and had time to discover the blown fuse. I'll be installing the hids tomorrow morning and i'll be sure to get some pics up.
