Window noise/Hiss noise while drive on High Way (need your help)
This should be easy to fix. it will require a few hours of your time. I've eliminated wind noise from all my cars and it's a simple process.
Wind noise can be deceiving where it's coming from, and can be caused by the tiniest items, it's like how a blade of grass can be made into a whistle... that's all it takes it for a gap, space, two pieces close two one another, or even an edge can do it.
So start by taping everything off, then eliminate piece by piece until you hear where it's coming from exactly... now you can fix it... usually it's really simple to fix... I fixed two of my car's wind noises (a whistle with the open sunroof and 80+ wind noise with bubble gum)
So here's the process:
First. go get some painters tape, the blue scotch tape at 1.5" thick, or 2". costs about $6.00.
Then tape off the roofs rain edge on the drivers side, run a full piece from front to back and make sure you go from about 2" on the windshield all the way to 2" on the rear window glass. don't just do the roof, it must cover the glass.
Then tape off the edges of the sunroof to make sure it's not coming from that...
Now tape off the windshield at top and drivers A- pillar.
Now tape off the door seal, the window, the door where it meets the front drivers side fender all the way down to the bottom of the car, tape off where the front door meets the back door, and tape off the bottom of the door. and also tape off that part around where the door, fender hood and mirror all meet.
Now get in the gar through the passengers side and go for a ride. If you still hear the noise then it's either internal to the door/roof. or it's not coming from the drivers side and may be coming from the rear door. and you'll need to tape at the rear door and try again, or tape inside the door. but the internal noises are rare on a car like this, they sealed it pretty good. I bet it's coming from an edge of your window frame near the top or from the roof's rain edge. either way, all easy fixes.
If the noise goes away then stop and start by removing all the tape from the roof. and go for a ride... then continue moving piece by piece until the noise shows back up and you've isolated the cause-area. Then just inspect that area, if you don't see anything, then report back with what the area is and I'll take a look on mine for potential causes.
Oh and when taping, it has to lay perfectly flat, if you come to a curve then cut the tape and start at a new angle, you can't have it sticking up otherwise the tape might cause wind noise.

Oh, and don't expect the dealer to do this under warranty. all cars have a bit of wind noise. No matter how irritating it is to you, it's just a bit of wind noise to them.. by replacing seals and looking at it they have done all they need to do.
I simply don't have the time to the tape thinging. I am too busy and expect the dealer or the factory to do its part. I like every thing else about this car, but the wind noise. I mean my other cars that I own and have owned didn't have such noise. And they are a lot less expensive.
My car is no longer under warranty and me drivers side window looks like its not sitting flush with the weather stripping or seals. I also see A little gap towards the front near the mirror. How much is it to replace the seals on the entire window? Anyone have an idea?
I have the same problem around 80 mph on my 07 G35S. It sound like when your in a parking lot and you turn the steering quick, like a tire screaching, but constant. I had it from day one. I had gave up on trying to find out what it is but this thread has me thinking again.

I did the tape thing and i FOUND the source of the leak! It was in the rubber seal between the mirror assemble and the tweeter. It wraps around the inner door layer metal. Its hard to explain but i found it! Tomorrow i will be going to the dealer and getting it new i dont care the cost! THANKS KRING!
