Suggest read thru this posts and try the tape method to find out where the noise coming from.

That would be a good start. At least you will know where the noise coming. Than you can figure out what the fix should be.

The I35 had a TSB for this exact problem, only it affected the rear doors. The fix in the service manual is to use thin ensolite material between the seal and the frame to make it even and flush when the window is rolled up. I may use the ensolite that I used for sound deadening to take care of the slight hissing I hear from my driverside window.

I'm going to try stuffing it with some 1/2 inch poly foam backer rod . A link in here said it worked on the Titan so I'm willing to give it a shot.

NBy are you 100% sure its the front? If so ignore below... for the rest:

I took a while to listen and isolate where mine was coming from and noise grew steadily louder after 75mph. One saturday got ambitious after a beer.. and put some tape on both sides of car. Noise disappeared. (I waited for the beer to evacuate before I drove ) It was coming from the rear door drivers side quarter window.
bought some clear pure silicone and cured the problem in a half hour. Works for fixed glass panel only... sliders another story. foam might work as NB said ...

BTW for those that don't believe in EVER driving above 73.5mph... fine. Good for you.
But every once in a while.... when hard pressed and the speedo lifts higher... that wind noise makes you feel like your car simply was not meant to test even the half way point of the governed 155?
Now I ask, why would that be?

So lets fix it!

also makes you question why some of us paid $50k (Can) for a car we have to mod with silicone to have a peaceful ride.
Maybe dealers should take every complaint or concern seriously. Pipe dream.

RPM nice clean ride there! Did you order yours black with wheat? Didn't know that was a color combo available. Would have loved to find one of these myself.

you've said it above. pipe dream.
Let me rant some more-

Certainly going into the way back machine... but $50k or $80k (things that bump a car from $10 to $80) it doesn't matter anymore. They just 'dont make em like they used to'
I was in a '29 Ford model A last year very similar to below, and was only lightly restored. The owner uses it as a daily driver around town!
Now, aside from modern conveniences like computer controlled valve timing and wheel slip, suspension, horsepower, AC, and navigation-
All the mechanical on the model A from the non-powered steering, running motor, right down to the way the doors opened, closed and latched operated like a SEWING machine. I mean smooth-click and sweet.

Yes I am concerned about wind noise on my 25k (US) used car, but if all it takes is a tube of silicone, fine.
I'll tell you one thing- they didn't start using silicone until 20 years after this car rolled. That's why things worked like sewing machines. People cared. It mattered to the people working on the assembly line back then, and the company selling them. They really did have to make things better to compete.
Not much of that occurs today I presume, because people would rather be seen in flashy chrome plastic than worry about steel chromed realness. And this is what matters to the dealer, and in turn their investors.

I too am hearing the wind noise and it all started a few months ago. As soon as I would go beyond 50 mph I could hear the "leak".
Made many trips to the dealer where I bought it (bought it used) to fix the noise and they tried from changing the window run to the seal around the door and adjusting the door. At first the noise was not much, but the more they tried to fix the worse it got. But finally they got it to the point where it originally sounded - a small leak or wind noise.

I am going to try the tape solution myself. Thanks Kring.

I will update here once I find the problem and location of the leak.

Well it is a Nissan and like someone said earlier, they have wind noise. The 09 I drove was significantly quieter so if you want to get rid of the noise upgrade the car......

I am not sure if anyone has this problem but my drivers side window has a crosswind whistle.. fairly high pitched... and short on and off for a second of crosswind.. Is this what you are all talking about. I just open the window like a 1/8 inch and it is quieter, pretty stupid but that is the case.

Update!
I brought my car to Infiniti dealer at Minneapolis, MN. They added foam to the doors and no more wind noise. You guys should give it a try. It is completely free service because our warranty covers it.

There is a service bulletin out for this. I have taken in my car to the dealer to fix this issue before thinking it was the front window, but the issue never went away. The service bulletin says its the rear window so will take it in again. Here is the service bulletin:

Here are also a couple of other problems I am having that have service bulletins:

Brake judder (my car shakes when pressing the break): https://docs.google.com/fileview?id=...thkey=CNjcgp0C

My steering wheel is off center, alignment issue: https://docs.google.com/fileview?id=...thkey=CK_w86cM

So is the TSB to fix driver rear door glass really eliminate hissing or wind noise?

I have the same issue on my 07, but I really thought the noise is from front driver side, but I guess I could be wrong.

really need to fix this annoying issue.

In my case, the car was built after Dec 2006 so this may not apply. I did take it to the dealer a few more times but they noticed the window run replacements were installed improperly or maybe even the window runs were defective. So they fixed that and the noise is significantly reduced, but not completely gone.

Like many I suppose I just have to live with it. I like the car, but I am also feeling the gas guzzling pain!!
