Clearbra not recommended on headlights??

I am planning on getting a clearbra installed on my 2008 G35S 6MT with tech package. The installer guy told me that he does not recommend installation on the headlights, because the Xenon lights are so hot, and the clearbra does not allow the heat to dissipate. Consequently, it will shorten the life of the Xenon bulb by 40%.

Any thoughts on that?

Yeah, that sounded strange, because I had clearbra on the Xenon headlights of my Audi TT, and never had any problems. Thanks for the input.

re clearbra

When I had it put on my 07, they also said clearbra on the headlights is not reccommeded because it will yellow in time form the Xenons. I passed on it.

You mean the clearbra will "yellow" over time, as opposed to the Xenon lights will yellow or burn out quicker?

I don't know why this sounds so crazy to some of you guys. The clearbra will probably turn yellow over time just like most headlights on cars.

it's not like they'll turn yellow in 4 weeks, but over a couple years i'm sure the clear bra will be more translucent then transparent.

I've never had a problem with the clear bra on the headlights of ANY of the car I've owned.

In fact, I'd recommend getting it; it prevents fogging.

I put clear bra on my headlights a long time ago and it has been great. The quad projector setup makes a lot of heat which has caused a few problems with my paint inside but no issues with the lens at all. I use my headlights every day and night and am still on the first set of Phillips bulbs I got when I got my car almost 3 years ago.

yep i have it on my headlights as well and i have no problems. The installer said that if i ever see it getting foggy or yellow call him and he will reinstall another piece since my clearbra came with a lifetime warrenty from the company
