window squeak fix

for those who has the window up/down squeak noise after a good rain, the problem lies with the window rubber runners. I had thought it was window tinting but the dealer fix it with just some silicone grease.

Thanks. I just noticed one of mine had a little squeek to it today. 65 degree sunny weather= windows down haha. I thought it was the tint as well. Thanks for the tip.

My rear right window has been doing it for about a couple of months now. It started out just doing it for a little bit when the window was up most of the way. Now it squeaks basically from the bottom all the way up. Never makes the noise coming down, though.

If anybody cares, one of the felt flaps down below the one we can see at the surface had flipped over about a third of the way from the front end of the window. No squeak on the way down but since it was flipped and was not flipping back over on it's own, it squealed like a pig on the way up. I will forever wonder how it got like that. Just happened, I guess.

The loud pig squeak I had was both up and down and only when it rained. As for the grease, I didnt even know its there, no signs of grease. They probably just needed a tiny bit.
