Just wondering, because it's damn easy to park your car and leave the sunroof open. I did it the other day and later on we had thunderstorms and a huge downpour. Fortunately for me, I keep my car in a parking garage but if it had been left outside it would have been flooded with about a foot of water. It would be nice if there was some kind of warning alarm when you try to lock up the car with the sunroof left open.

Just this morning... I was leaving home and I had my sunroof open... and a HUGE load of bird diarrhea landed on my windshield and all over my hood. Had I been a foot further up, it would've been inside my G. I facking hate birds.

I forgot to close my window during a huge snow storm this year, I had it down to see the curb, and forgot to roll it up. Some how almost no snow got into the car, there was a buildup on the inside door, but almost none got inside.

there was a module the I installed (Alien? It's been a while) in my old Passat, you can press a button (or two) to rollup all windows, close the sunroof and lock the doors; that was cool. It also does the auto down too... including the sunroof. I wish there was one for the G.

I came home from a concert the other night...had a few drinks and was feeling great from a night of good music and dancing...I had a bounce in my step as I walked inside my house and locked the doors to my G..

I woke up the next morning and realized that I left the sunroof open...it STORMED that night, so my G was soaked well, I got all the water cleaned up, but now my CD player won't work. The radio works fine, and the actual mechanics of the CD player work fine (i.e. loads and ejects discs in all 6 trays)...but when I go to play a CD it loads for a second then says "Check Disc". I'm hoping maybe it's just some kind of fog or temporary thing on the laser...but it's been a few days now. Has anyone else ever had this problem? and is there a way I can "reset" the CD player?

i once my left sunroof open, and it rained big time over night. my brother moved the car in the morning so that he could leave in his own car, and he noticed my headliner was wet so he closed the sunroof. wen i got in the car later on, i saw a soaked headliner, with a closed sunroof, so i assumed i had a leak in my roof/sunroof somewhere. i called the dealer and told them, and they said to drop it off the next day. good thing i asked my brother if i happened to leave the sunroof open overnight, or else the dealer would have had fits trying to figure out where my leak was . i was shocked to hear i left it open overnight, i NEVER do stuff like that, i'm usually very careful, especially with my car

you don't have to "start the car all over again" if you want to roll your windows up. just don't put your foot on the brake and press the engine start button twice.

you can close your sunroof after you turn the car off as long as you don't open the door... once you do that it interrupts the power or something... don't ask why... thats just what happens.

That is the retained power feature, and it is supposed to work like that.
