More Problems

Well i was driving home tonight and i had another problem. I have had the car since feb 29, and there is 2300 miles on the car right now. At about 900 miles i had the electronics fail in the center consol and steering colume. It reset when i was driving which i found was a safety hazard (especially with the seat moving all the way back and the wheel moving away while you are in motion). Took it to the dealer and they found nothing. So everything seemed to be going fine until tonight. It runs fine as long as i am idling but as soon as i start to give it gas i get this noise that sounds like a card that was put in the spoke of a bike. The more you push down on the gas the faster the noise is. Now I have had the car for less than 2500 miles and now i have to take it back to the dealer. Its just annoying more than anything. I have to get one of the loaner cars which suck, are dirty as hell on the inside and usually smell and run really bad. Hopefully it is a simple fix and i can have my car back within a couple hours.

So far comparring the is350 to the g, the is350 is ahead. Although i like the electronics in the g and the way the shift modes are setup, the lexus has had less problems. Each car has different features and i love driving both, but it just seems like my lexus wants to be driven and the g likes to sit in the garage.

some of us got lucky and others didnt. i happen to be the one that wasnt lucky with my g. its just more annyoing. i know the g is a good car and i am not trying to deny that i just wish it didnt have the annoying problems. but i guess it gives me an excuse to get all the annoying rattles and the passanger seat fixed as well. does anyone else have a problem when at freeway speeds (70mph) the passanger seat vibrates violantly.

Sorry to hear about the issues you've been having Archie and hopefully the dealership will correct them.

thanks. well i took the car in at 8am. the dealer gave me a loaner i drove home and about after being home for an hour the dealer called telling me my car was ready. wow. the cool part though is that mike in service at riverside knew what the problem was. it was some silcone that found its way in the cooling system? so 3 hours and the problem was fixed. +1 for riverside infiniti service.

Be thinking Lemon Law. Check out how your state handles the return policy, but if this keeps happening you could get covered.

Sometimes. you just get a bad car.

I gotta say, I'm reading about a lot more issues with the 08 than with the 07.
I'm sitting at about 17K now, and I'm issue free, minus the little TSBs and stuff.
