Traded my 07 for an 08 G35S

So I traded my 07 G35Journey with moonroof and sports wheels to an 08 G35S with Pre/Nav/Tech.

Negotiated the 08 at $37500. Good deal?
The trade in was for $23500 with 27900 miles on it.

I like it very much. But back to keeping RPM under 3k until 1200 and will be back to the dealer tomorrow to learn all the new features and removing some of my mod parts.

The lack of compass on the homelink because of the Nav was missed. Loving the backup camera, seat memory, Sports seats, and Adaptive lighting.

Don't focus on keeping your RPM under 3k, much more important is fluctuating your RPM every several minutes, I wouldn't advise going over 6k though. Enjoy your new G "S"

Ouch, $15k just to slightly upgrade your ride? You didn't even get the upgraded transmission.

Wow, I couldn't imagine taking that kind of hit in such a short period of time.

It was a big hit. But now I'm with a car that I really wanted in the first place.

Wow that's a big hit! I may be in a similar boat shortly as it looks like I may be moving from NC back to the North East so an XS may be in order...

How much do you think it's worth if I sell to private party? On KBB, private party is around 25k. Dealer trade in is around $22k.

Don't do it.
Just invest in snow tires and cheap 17" rims

Already have a set of OEM 17's with Goodyears mounted. Maybe a set of good winter tires will work... Gotta see if I end up moving though.

I sold my IS250AWD for just around 25k, mine had NAV though and made a small profit which I used as the lease inception fees. I agree the G is not holding its value well.

I dont think the G is going to hold its value well going forward, the lease deals these guys have been making are a give away. In the next 2 to 3 years there is going to be a lot of G35s for sale out there as these lease deals come to an end. Am hoping they will continue these lease deals with the 2010/2011 model. I love the G, but the monthly payments just make me even happier.
