Loaner car perfomance

Has anyone observed a diference between the perfomance of their car over that of the loaner cars. I did but just wanted to find out what everyone else has observed

I brought my '07 G35S in for service once and got an '07 loaner. Man, the loaner was spanked. I can only imagine what some of the people do with those loaners.

loaners are usually fully broken in from being driven so much, and the ECU is more agressive due to the drivers driving them hard...

So yes, they usually feel faster

I wouldn't be surprised if people returning their loaners also filled in less than premium grade fuel, which in turn manifest itself in degraded performance.

I haven't had an 07' loaner in a while, but IIRC I don't think there were any differences in performance, only in handling (it was an AWD).

Thats what I observed today. I have an 08 and the loaner was an 08 but man, the car felt faster than my car. It responded earlier when I floored it.

the loaners feel slower because the tires on the non-sport models suck so bad. i am sliding all over the place and can't put the power to the ground as easy without the limited slip diff.

i also drive it in manumatic mode most of the time, so i don't see how it would feel any faster...i guess it would feel faster if i left it in drive and just floored it

overall, my car feels faster and the tires just feel so much better on the sport...those RSA's are scary to ride on cause they slide too much

It depends on the drivers before you. The ECU is learning how you drive and it adopts it. If people before you were driving it hard it is faster then yours. Of course if you are not a mad man like me. I drive my car hard every day.

I enjoyed driving an engine that was broken in, but the loaner car was looking (and smelling) awfully ratty after 12K miles. It will take an effort to make this car age gracefully.

I had taken my car for the 3750 mile service so yes, I had been babying my G. After what I observed with the loaner car, I am now a mad man on the road. I want to make sure she learns pretty quicly that I like it rough.

I used to think that Infiniti was BS'ng people when they said the car learns how you drive, after my experience with this loaner car, I am now a believer.

do you go to nalley infiniti of decatur? Because most of the loaners except #13 feel like complete crap...have you also noticed all the stains everywhere? They must never clean the interiors of the loaners

I never knew the G35's were this fast...I have a loaner '07 G35x right now, basically same as mine, but they feel totally like two different cars. The loaner is so shaky, rattles a lot, and is fast.

The loaner car I used was well maintained and fast. I must have suffered from whiplash after my stint with that car. When I took my car back the difference was like night & day. I am going to train her and see how it works out in the next weeks to come. I am also going to call the dealer to find out if they did something to the G cos whatever they did, I want it (assuming they did anything)

My local dealer is using QX56's as serivce loaners since they can't sell them. Oh, and it rides nice but only gets about 5mpg the way I drove it

Yes, but I've only had a loaner car for a 1/2 day since I bought my G. When I took the Q to the dealer many years ago they were still using G20 loaners, and I remember them being a little more presentable. Infiniti dealers were ghost towns before the G35 came around, so they had more time to clean the loaners.

The one '07 loaner I've received was slow compared to mine, which I'm prepared to partly chalk up to bias , but am guessing is also the result of regular unleaded and beatings.
