so ya saying it is not worth the it. go out and spend the extra 10k on a new model? or get the loaner and spend the 10k on mods? new suspension set up, tires and rims. some engine mods????

tough call IMHO.

Go for it!

I'd say it is probably a pretty good deal and since it has a waranty I wouldn't be too worried about the treatment.

Wonder how good of an investment it would be to buy it and then sell, like to Car Max or something. Just a thought.

G35-2007- 12k miles - premium package - 18inch rims -i think it has everything except for the nav. original sticker was $$36,700. they advertised it for 29k i got them down to 25426.

i test drove it and it seems ok. almost new. plus it still has warranty from the factor.
Sounds like a good deal to me (you might be able to have them take it down an extra grand though IMO).. and even though most of the people on these boards 'abuse' loaner cars..not everyone does (including me).
I say, have them pull the carfax report so when it comes time to sell it, you wont have a buyer trying to bring the price down b/c it has a "loaner car" mark on it.
Also take it out for another test drive, make sure the stereo is off and you can hear everything. The car is under warranty so you should be okay.
I myself just purchased a G35x 2008 w/ 6k miles for 27k.. it was a rental but to me it was worth what I paid...I test drove similar rentals and they drove slightly different, plus the car I got was very clean and had the lowest miles compared to the rest on the lot. Hth GL
Btw check the tire tread on the wheels just to know when you will need to replace them.. also ask if you can get the service reports (from the original dealership) to see if the car was serviced and if it had any issues? It might be hard to get..but at least try.

I bought an off lease 05 coupe, but from a very reputable dealer in NJ that picks the best condition off lease vehicles from banks before they hit the auctions.

It had 29k on the odometer and I couldn't be happier with it; it is literally like new inside and out. Mechanic inspected it and said he couldn't find a single thing wrong with the car.

I paid a little bit more than I would've just going to some used car lot, but I think the extra $$ is well worth the peace of mind that my car wasn't abused.

So yeah, I'm not sure about your loaner vehicle but if you were to go ahead with it I would recommend either taking a good look at the car or if you aren't good with cars take it to a mechanic.

If you keep it for the time you have warranty for. Go ahead. If you planing to keep it longer consider to buy extended premium warranty.

I think it'll be oky as long as you don't mod the engine or do anything to it where the dealership might try to use against you.

Hope it doesn't have the automotive equivalent of an STD. That's what happens when you marry a hooker, you get some drip that cannot be cured

$10k will pay for a lot of penicillin....errrrr car parts.

I pull the service record and they did an oil change and used car inspection. got the car fax and it is clean. It was listed as used 1 owner only. blah blah blah. no accident report. report came back clean.

been reading on the board that the car consume oil. is that normal? how do you check to see if the car consume oil before you buy it?
