yes and no,
yes if you like larger brakes, the sports wheel, limited slip, sport seats, front bumper and sides

no if you plan to modify everything anyways

basically buy it for the seats, 3/4 of the people here change everything else anyways and the paddles can be added to any Journey car.

I don't know what you mean by 3/4 changing everything else...What is there to change? There is only one aftermarket front bumper out and it's the TK kit...which will cost you a fortune if you want to replace it. It's not like you'll be replacing the paddles...or be replacing the limited slip differential...there aren't many who have replaced the original brakes yet...so what exactly are 3/4 of the members here replacing? the only thing i see people replacing then would be the wheels

back to the question at hand. yes, it's a great buy

i just meant some of what the Sport pckg offers, like sway bars, coils, wheels/tires can be changed out, and often are for the people on these forums, and you can add paddles. For the majority of the people buying these cars, the only thing left that really will make a difference in our day to day life is the seats. Only people that track their cars will really benefit from the bigger brakes. So, that's why I said buy the sports pckg for the seats.

For the Sport 18" wheels and tires, you can often find a new set for sale for pretty cheap as take-offs. For example, I'll be selling a set that has maybe 30 miles on them for very cheap.

IMO, the sport package is definitely worth it for the LSD and seats. Additionally the ride is a bit firmer in Sport vs non-sport due to the beefed up sway bars. As others have pointed out the paddle shifters can be added to just about any Journey and wheel/tire packages can be swapped. For me it was simple, I wanted the LSD, seats, and staggered wheels.

I wouldn't have been happy with the car without the sport features.

I'm definitely not saying the saying my opinion is the sport pckg is not worth it but in the time frame i had, I needed a car pretty quick and didn't let the sport pckg hold me up from buying an otherwise perfect car, especially knowing I was swapping wheels/tires, susp. components anyway and could add the paddles later. I definitely would've like the seats tho.

Good deal?

In the sense that upgraded wheels, better brakes, LSD, paddle shifters, bumper, skirts, etc. are all included.

YES!

Almost any one of those mods would cost you more as a stand alone mod than the whole sport package.

Plus, you get the cool "S" badge off of a Toyota Corolla!!

Not to discount the wheels, LSD, the bumper or the seats, but don't minimize the benefit of the larger brakes. If you are an aggressive or "spirited" driver the larger brakes can get you out of a lot of trouble. I find them to be a crucial part of the sport package.

I own a 6MT, but I really appreciate the brakes. I find the seats secure yes, but a bit narrow, but, then, I do not have a particularly narrow butt.

I love my S!

kinda offtopic but yea...i was over at our local Nissan dealer one day picking up parts for my shop. the salesmen walk over to crowd me until they saw my uniform then they backed off knowing im picking up parts. One guy had the nerve to ask me if thats the same S as a Corolla S....his friend then said dont get offended and said sorry. I told the guy....ummm does mine look like your corolla?
